Nothing To Say Infertility Day

I honestly thought I had nothing to say today.

And that has inspired me to write about having nothing to say infertility days.

The whole process can be so mind numbingly overwhelming, that you no longer find the capacity to put together any words to describe it.

You don’t want to talk about it.

Those are valuable days.

Sanity saving days.

Every second of every minute of every day can’t be spent talking about it.

Or responding to people who ask ‘how things are going.’

Rather than scrambling for something that either shows you’re about to fall apart, react angrily to the question, or smack them across the head, just say nothing.

I mean, like total silence.

Pause a few seconds to cause additional discomfort.

Then move on to something else.

I see so many posts from people wondering what they should say when an old friend, acquaintance, relative asks that deadly question that the infertile so hate to hear “so do you have any kids?”

Like the Keith Whitley song goes, ‘you say it best, when you say nothing at all.’

And that’s all I have to say about that.
