Perhaps it’s the New Jersey freezer that was beckoning, but when Elliana started researching high schools to go to in New York City, nothing could have prepared us for what would happen.
Against all odds, our formerly frozen embryo went through a list of over 600 schools in the NYC Public School system, and after an arduous application process and several cross country trips, I’m proud to say she’s in!
Now we live in the Big Apple as Elliana pursues her singer/songwriting aspirations, and embraces life as an urbanite after 15 years in the suburbs of Tucson, Az.
There’s a whole new set of adventures in the asphalt jungle, and she’s finding that there are other kids just like her who entered the world with the help of infertility doctors.
Who knows: maybe she’ll write a song about it. Cue the teenage eye-rolling….
