This Sunday feels like a new beginning.
Maybe it was all the new friends I met yesterday at the Walk of Hope—friends with hopes for new beginnings in their lives that include their vision of parenthood, friends with passion to not only stop the anti-family building movement but to spread awareness to make it easier and more universal for couples with infertility to have more chances to achieve their parenthood, and friends that make their living and life passion out of doing everything medically possible to help make parenthood a reality for the fertility challenged.
Part of it may be that today is Palm Sunday, and that has always been one of my favorite Masses. I remember from my catechism the significance of Palm Sunday.
Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. The donkey was a symbol of peace, and anyone riding on a donkey had peaceful intentions. Laying the palm branches indicated that the king or dignitary was arriving in victory or triumph.
Yesterday was a victory for infertility support. It was a peaceful and very nurturing supportive event, and I find myself filled with visions of new beginnings.
New passion for seeing even more awareness, more advocacy, and more success stories for couples on their infertility journeys.
