Positive Infertility Motivation

I have been listening to a lot of positive motivational speakers lately, and it got me wondering.

Is there any body who does anything like positive motivation for infertile people?

With millions of us out there facing infertility every year,  it seems like it would be helpful to have some positive affirmations, or stuff that you can fill your head with besides the doubts, confusion and heartache.

So here is the first in what I hope will be a series of positive infertility motivation posts.

Accept The Infertility Challenge

If you’ve been diagnosed with infertility, the hardest thing to do is going to be to accept that you need medical help to have a kid.

Don’t waste time denying it.

Biological time is not your friend.

Procrastination is not an option.

It quite literally could mean the death of any hope you might have for a biological child.

Embrace the reality of your infertility and take action.

You will find a path to success in your infertility journey if you start getting all the information you can now.

Once you have information, get up the nerve to ask the questions.

If you don’t like the answers, ask again.

You can do this.

You have a right to have every question you have answered respectfully, thoroughly, and as many times as you need until you feel comfortable

Be resolute. Be courteous. Be persistent.

Like any challenge, it’s not going to be easy.

But it will be worth it.

  1. Great comments! As someone who is male and infertile, I like these kind of positive remarks.

  2. I completely agree. Insensitivity is a relaly big issue at Mother’s Day and at many other times as well. I remember you saying at a meeting how we might be surprised to find that we still feel the sting of infertility even if and when we had children . . . and you were absolutely right. I have friends who are planning out when they want to have children and are trying to “time” it, and it stings when they talk to me about it because it’s like they forget how difficult it can be for some people and they just assume that it won’t be for them. Unfortunately, people just aren’t sensitive when it comes to parenthood. There is a long way to go in teaching others about this topic, and you are playing a major role in helping spread awareness.
