Hope Award Nomination For Best Blog: I’m Verklempt

BLOG OF THE YEAR NOMINEE

Verklempt.

That’s the first word that came to my head when I learned Almost A Father is a  Best Blog nominee for the Hope Award given out each year at the Night of Hope.

When I made the commitment to blogging every day over 150 days ago my hope was to provide support and encouragement to the infertility community.

I never dreamed it would lead to this.

I wanted to give back to the community that was so instrumental in giving us the support and encouragement we needed to survive, and ultimately thrive in our infertility saga.

I was worried that maybe the words might not resonate coming from a man.

I know that the disease and disability of infertility is portrayed as a woman’s issue very often.

But I also know there is strength in numbers.

The more guys that join their wives in this battle, not just in the daily indignities and nuances of their cycles, but in the fight to provide more awareness, more support, the bigger the force is that can affect lasting change.

Thank you so much for letting me provide some guy power to the infertility blogging world.

And thanks to everyone who supports Almost A Father with this nomination.

I am honored to be in the company of the other amazing blogs nominated for this year’s Hope Award for Best Blog.
